Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

My Approach

Therapy begins with a relationship—a confidential, collaborative space between you and me. Drawing from psychoanalytic theory, we use that relationship to explore what often feels unspeakable or unclear.

We are what happens to us. Our identities are shaped by early experiences and the unconscious conclusions we draw from them. To make sense of things, we often simplify:

“I’m fine.”
“My childhood was difficult.”

But within those words—fine, difficult—there’s an entire world of words and experiences waiting to be explored. In therapy, we give voice to those inner worlds, revisiting and reworking the stories we’ve lived by.

This process takes time, and typically involves weekly sessions. Through consistent work together, we can begin to open up new possibilities for understanding yourself and creating change—not by rushing to fix, but by listening deeply and thinking together.
